Kaitlyn Fitzgerald joins The Canna Mom Show from Arizona where she is doing good in the emerging cannabis industry with her small business marketing skills. She shares with Joyce her canna story that includes an interesting twist on a mother-daughter cannabis journey. Kaitlyn is a cannabis marketing specialist, and in addition to starting her own firm, Baked Brand Studios, she is also the director of strategy and accounts at Majic Plants which is a collective of savvy marketers and inspired creatives supporting brands in the cannabis, plant medicine and wellness spaces. But her story begins as a very young caregiver for her own mother that influenced her opinions of pharmaceutical medications and led her to find cannabis for her own healing that grew into a passion for helping others. On today’s show she shares her professional journey from tech to cannabis, and how a childhood spent watching her own mother’s medical struggles led her to become the advocate she is today.Joyce also talks about her night at the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge at the immersive art experience called Solstice, a reflection of winter lights. Wendy helped her son Coltyn find healing through cannabis and both have gone on to become the people they needed when they were seeking help healing with cannabis almost a decade ago. Joyce has been a fan of Jane West for many years and is very excited to share Jane’s story with you. Jane West has evolved from a canna-friendly event planner to a canna brand, and has faced many of the challenges of the cannabis industry including job loss, public scrutiny and a raid that upended her professional and personal life.In 2013 Jane was hosting cannabis-friendly parties designed to normalize consumption in Colorado, but her events were so popular and cannabis so new that in 2014 a SWAT team shut down her 4/20 brunch event.
