In 2018 Amie petitioned to list Autism as a qualifying condition for medical cannabis in Michigan after utilizing cannabis to help her son, and she has become a dedicated activist for cannabis for families in similar situations. Amie hopes to make access to cannabis and use easier across our country by working to help pediatric and adolescent patients gain the same equal rights as those who use traditional prescribed medicine. Amie’s dedication to helping others guided her to be a candidate for the Michigan State House of Representatives in 2022 and she continues to invest her voice in the ongoing cannabis conversations in Michigan.Mskindness B.Ramirez is an industry veteran and master educator. This is a very special podcast that we recorded LIVE at The Goods Dispensary in Davis Square in Somerville, Massachusetts. The Goods in Davis Square is a one of its kind recreational dispensary – Joyce’s local dispensary – and Joyce is speaking with the co-founders, a budtender and each other about what it’s like to work at their dispensary, how it feels to be a customer and why this place is so special.Alex DeGroot and Chris Vining are cofounders of The Goods dispensary in Somerville, Massachusetts. Alex came to cannabis after a career in real estate where he helped to build the Redfin brand and northeast operations. Chris previously had a career in bio medical devices and software. Alex oversees the goods arts and community initiatives and can often be found re-arranging demo products or dreaming up a better pre-roll display. He is the father of two and feels extremely lucky to have a wife who has put up with him through the roller coaster ride of opening a new dispensary. And Chris is the resident regulatory and paperwork whiz, overseeing all of the complex financial management and planning that goes into building a successful business and dispensary. Kema Ogden is a successful entrepreneur and industry leader in the cannabis, health care and nonprofit sectors, and she’s Nevada’s first African American woman cannabis dispensary owner - Top Notch Health Center in Las Vegas. Kema is a board member with Doctors for Cannabis Regulation, the first national organization of doctors to endorse legalization of adult-use cannabis, and currently serves on the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board’s Cannabis Advisory Commission and its Subcommittee on Social Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Elizabeth Becker is a tenacious and passionate Canadian cannabis advocate. Elizabeth is an internationally recognized and award-winning writer/director and is now a disruptor at the intersection of cannabis, hospitality and technology.
